Recently, UPS commissioned a study called “UPS Pulse of the Online Shopper™,” conducted by comScore. One of their key takeaway’s was the emergence of the “flex shopper.” As they went through “some of the critical steps in the flex shopper’s path to purchase,” one of the study’s findings was that “Returns remains an area highly valued by consumers but underserved by retailers.” How so? Well, consider the following results of the study:

52% of consumers want to see a return label right in the box

82% of shoppers respond positively to the ability to return product to the store or ship it back using a free pre-paid label

68% say free returns shipping is key to a positive returns experience
