Sorting Detail Lines

To sort data based upon certain criteria, use the Sort procedure. Specify a sort variable and define a sort group of input variables and output variables. This is different from sorting data at the project level in eFORMz, which is discussed in the following post: Troubleshooting: Breaking Up a Large PDF of Multiple Documents

One common use of the Sort procedure is for sorting the detail lines on a packing slip or pick ticket by bin location, passing in all the variables on the detail line and then putting bin location as the top input variable. This is shown below.
