Load Document from a File

The Load Document from a File feature loads a data file, preferably a text file (.txt), and automatically generates a document template with that file. Load Document from a File acts as a shortcut to populate a form without having to create and place variables. In many cases it will be necessary to adjust the document template by adding or removing components. Even so, the Load Document from a File feature greatly speeds up the process of form creation.

1. Create a new project. Right click the project and select Add Page. Right click the page and select Add Form. Right click the form and select Display Form and Data. Use test data.

2. Right click the form and select Load Document from a File. The Load Document from a File dialog box will display. Select the file to import.

3. The newly created document template will display.

Make any necessary adjustments by removing undesired components, such as unnecessary paragraphs, or changing attributes, like text color. It may also be necessary to add tables, rows and cells for more specialized forms.
