QAD ERP Integration
QAD Enterprise Applications and QAD Cloud ERP, built on the MFG/PRO platform, is a cloud and on-premise ERP solution for manufacturers which outputs in Text (.TXT) format.
Best Practices
Of the four main integration options for eFORMz, virtual printer is the recommended method for capturing QAD ERP application output. This requires the following:
“Add eFORMz as a new printer in your software application. Your application prints to the eFORMz virtual printer, which captures the print stream as a file. eFORMz combines and formats the file, possibly with data from additional sources for output to a thermal or laser printer.”
Linux
Many QAD ERP users run on Linux. Configuring eFORMz for Linux would first involve enabling the TCP/IP Print Server for LPD Communication. From there, setting up the eFORMz Port Monitor and adding eFORMz as a new printer in QAD would be necessary. Once this is configured, run the process and use any test files sent from the QAD ERP system to the selected input folder.

Text to XML
For ideal formatting of QAD output, the Text to XML Editor should be used. The Text to XML Editor converts QAD output into Extensible Markup Language (.XML). To configure the Text to XML Editor, view the documentation listed below.
